Semi-Homemade Shallot Herbed Butter

This is a super simple way of creating a yummy butter and enhance the cooking of your dishes. It also saves times while cooking. Instead of spending time to chop garlic, shallots, onions, and herbs you've already done it and combined it with a good fat so therefore your process is more streamlined.

You can definitely make your own butter. Its s super easy process of whipping heavy cream until it becomes butter. Yep, that's really it! The heavy cream will first turn into what we call "whipped cream" and you just keep beating it until it to forms into a butter texture. Kinda crazy that's how simple it is, right? While it is simple, you do have to beat it at a very high rate of speed in order for it to be time friendly. The first time I made homemade butter I used my Ninja on the highest speed and it actually overheated and never worked again!! I'm sure you can do it with a hand or stand mixer but I've never tried it that way before.

For this semi-homemade butter recipe I buy a high quality salted butter. Make sure the ingredient list says include only cream and salt. My personal favorite is French butter or European butter but there are many other quality options out there in the regular grocery stores.

I won't pretend this recipe is complicated!


Salted Butter

1/2 shallot, minced

1/2 cup parsley, chopped


1. Soften butter. You can do this by leaving it out on the counter for a couple of hours to bring to room temperature or you can microwave it for 20 seconds.

2. Mince shallot. Chop Parsley.

3. Place butter, shallots, and parsley in a bowl and blend with a hand mixer until mixed well.

4. Store inside of a small mason jar or you can can roll it in some plastic wrap and store in a cylinder form.

5. Refrigerate
